To reach Punta del Este, regional travelers can fly into Punta del Este International Airport (PDP), located about 20 kilometers west of the city center. At the time of the conference PDP typically receives non-stop flights from Buenos Aires, Asuncion, São Paulo, and Santiago. Most international travelers arrive via Montevideo Carrasco International Airport (MVD), which is Uruguay’s main gateway and offers year-round connections to major cities in South America, North America, and Europe. From Montevideo, travelers can take a bus or rent a car to Punta del Este.
